Thank you - Jam session

Yesterday we spent our Saturday at SAATH's program Hakuna matata. We had prepared a music & art workshop and 120 swedish chocolate balls for the kids. It was a great success, they loved it all! When the kids arrived at SAATH's office in the morning they did not know about the instruments waiting for them in the next room. We announced that there was something special planned for that days program and that they were going to learn something new. We brought the instruments and everyones eyes and smiles grew big. They hesitated some to approach the instruments however when we told them that the instruments are here to stay they all started playing. During our workshop we taught them the song Waving flags in two different groups, one melodic group and one percussion group. We were amazed and impressed with how well they learned the song. After practicing the song for 1,5 hours we painted personal flags. The idea of making your own flag was to describe who you are without words, just by picture.

Thank you all for your wonderful support. The kids had a great time as well as us, although our ears are suffering since the children could'nt stop playing even after the jam session was over. Especially thank you to those of you who donated and made this joy possible for the kids:
