Chocolate balls for everyone

Namaste!

We have been very busy! "With what?" you ask your self. Well, with making chocolate balls! That's right everyone, Swedish chocolate balls made with Nepali ingredients. We have been selling these traditional Swedish sweets on Farmers Market here in Kathmandu with great success. Such a great success that we are now delivering chocolate balls to one of Kathmandu's finest restaurants as they want to serve them as a dessert. Who would have thought that when we arrived here three months ago?

Setting up our table at the Farmets market filled with Swedish sweets!

Another project that has been keeping us busy is finding a venue for SAATH's new office. Through donations from family & friends we have raised enough money to give SAATH the opportunity to expand as an organization. We have worked closely with them helping them plan their future visions and goals. Today we were out browsing for venues and found some great ones although not suitable for our budget. However the rental market is growing and we are very hopeful on finding the perfect office space before SAATH's current contract ends in the end of December.

Some of the possible venues for SAATH.

Christmas is in the air, even here in Kathmandu. We have been to a Christmas bazaar organized by the German embassy where the only thing missing was snow on the ground and ginger bread. Though they did serve waffles and their own version of glögg but here it is called mulled wine. Next week there is a bigger bazaar very famous in Nepal where we hope to sell chocolate balls and be the new talk of the town for those who have not yet tried our Swedish masterpieces!

Happy first advent to you all!

Lots of love,
Charlotte & David.
